The service offering is flexible to meet your individual needs with a personalised programme of support.
Following an initial 90 minute face-to-face assessment, the recommended minimum is four two-hour meetings.
These two hour meetings cover some or all of the following, depending on your needs:
- Reviewing your existing CV and receiving detailed guidance on preparing a new, more persuasive, CV and LinkedIn bio.
- Developing or expanding your network of contacts to support your job search, including both professionals already known to you and new ones.
- Creating a list of target organisations, some of which will be prospective employers.
- Receiving guidance on how to improve your performance in interviews.
- Creating a generic list of issues/questions to cover in an interview.
A longer term programme of support is also available that would continue over an agreed number of months, as you progress along your journey towards a new job. In addition to the above support, typically, this would involve:
- Some psychometric testing, if deemed to be of value.
- Identifying your skills, strengths, short and longer term career goals.
- Exploring what you have learned from your career achievements.
- Setting up an agreed number of phone calls for informal meetings with other professionals in your sector/industry and exploratory meetings with search firms.
- More detailed discussion and feedback following interviews with a prospective employer.
- Developing ‘Next Step’ scenarios.
Before beginning any programme of career management support, a signed proposal between New Career Horizons and the individual will be completed.
Finding the right next job is a long term commitment: there are no quick fixes, there are no guarantees. You will need time, determination, self-awareness, the ability to cope with rejection and the confidence to pursue your journey to a successful new horizon.
